1/16 Scale Figure Commander Michael Wittmann Sitting from Torro - TOR222285114
On August 8, 1944, Michael Wittmann was near Citeaux, between Caen and Falaise in a battle with a group of 5 Sherman Firefly tanks. Ultimately, the opposition was overwhelming and he fell in the fight, despite previously destroying 2 Allied tanks. None of Wittmann's crew survived, and together with him were buried in a village cemetery in the French hamlet of Gaumesnil.
