Michael Wittmann (April 22, 1914 - August 8, 1944) was a WWII German Panzer Commander credited with the destruction of 138 tanks and 132 anti-tank guns as well as an unknown number of other armored vehicles. A German tank commander with the most kills, Wittmann was famous for his surprise attack on June 13, 1944, during the Battle of Villers-Bocage against parts of the 7th British Panzer division. With a small group of five Tiger I tanks, he destroyed 12 tanks, 10 halftrack vehicles, 2 crew transporters and 2 anti-tank guns within 15 minutes.
